A gardener in Montevideo, he draws the rest of his time. With no art education, he creates his first drawings using a ruler, markers, pens and pencils on any media he can get hold of, like the back of an Almanac. Alexandro Garcia’s ethereal visions of meticulous design combine fantastic citiesfloating or about to leap into the infinite - with clusters of constellations coming to meet them. His work thus treats the question of another space offered to our projections and the colonization of a new humanity: "We are not alone." His work is closer to mediumistic art in the sense that it results from forces of which he is only an instrument: "I am a channel absorbing the messages of the universe."
