Anton Dobay was a gardener in a castle, but at the age of sixty-five, he suffered a brain hemorrhage that led to irreversible brain damage. He was hospitalized at the psychiatric hospital Gugging where he remained until his death in 1986. Shortly after his committal drawing became his only occupation. Supported by Prof. Navratil he developed an interesting production.
